Free Techno Music Composing...the basics

To start techno music composing the most needed thing to make our own techno is an actual music maker. This is very true. But you must always remember one thing.

The musician and the music maker are one of the same things, the utility is there to express your ideas, nothing more.

There are plenty of utilities for you to make music. Propeller Head's Reason 3 is by far the best Cubase style sequencer out there especially if you are professional. I prefer a much easier way to type in music and to edit it, to add single notes where I want, I want to build up a drum track, and I also want to see every note and position so I can sync my music perfectly.

The utilities I prefer is Madtracker (MT2). I like it, there are others out there, but this "suits me".

If you are just starting out, this is far the best way to make music on a shoe-string budget but unleashing expensive effects and giving yourself a professional edge.
